FIRST WINNER FOR ARROW Summerhill Stud’s beautifully bred and well performed young stallion, A.P. Arrow, recently got off the mark when Flight Check scored a facile victory at Turffontein on Saturday. A.P. Arrow is one of the best bred, and performed, sons of the legendary A.P. Indy ever to stand at stud in the Southern Hemisphere. He won over $1 000 000 during his career, and won or placed in no fewer than 10 US graded stakes races. A P Arrow’s victories included the Gr2 Clark Handicap (now a Gr1 contest), and the Gr3 Skip Away Stakes. He was also placed twice in the prestigious Gr1 Donn Handicap, and, during his career, accounted for numerous top-class Gr1 winners, including Daaher, Political Force, Brass Hat, Purim, Einstein, and Premium Tap. A.P. Arrow is one of over 150 stakes winners produced by Horse of the Year and dual champion sire A.P. Indy.
