FISHERMAN NOT A FISH FARMER! (Just inspired to write this,be blessed as you read) I nearly conclude they are the same sets of people, but with a circumspect look, i discovered there are vast differences especially when the Lord Jesus said Come, I will make you a fisher of men not a Farmer of fish. Who is he that fishes? How does he go about it? At what time is it prudent to do that? With what tactics? what is the assurance of a catch and what are the necessary instruments needed to fulfil this task? These are necessary questions to be asked. A fisherman consider it as a permanent profession, others might merge others things together with it, but he dare not because he is naturally disposed to its target day and night. But a fish farmer only farm the per-arranged fish in a particular pond, someone can even be employed to feed them while he go on with another business. Every fisherman has their nets or hooks ready as a major equipments, at times they toil all through the night setting the net for a catch, its takes faith to search for what is not literary missing. But a fish farmer is so contended and sure of the numbered fish in the pond, he can actually pro-rate the analysis, giving almost the exact number of the speculated fish en-caged awaiting maturity. He is so relaxed in his comfort zone, no miracle can double the fish in the pond but preferably reduces, because they eat themselves when food is not available. I kept wondering, who is responsible for the feeding of this great number of fishes in the ocean? Someone must be responsible with a divine provision i believe. No wonder when there is a need, he sent back to catch one of the fish with money to set off the debt owed. Now in spiritual typing, the fishes are the unsaved souls, ocean is the world, net is the Word God, and the Boat happen to be Faith upon which we leverage continually. God want us to farm fish out there, he said He that wins a soul is wise Winning is by wisdom, some ignorantly fishes with a torn net, they labor day and night on the boat spreading a torn net, the word of God they go out with is to condemn sinners not to tell them the provision that Christ brought for them by the cross. They are quick to judge other by their sectoral believes exulting fables than unfeigned words of Faith. There is a need to continually mend the net. Read this And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship MENDING their nets. (Mark 1:19). We are not desired by God to be contended as a fish farmer being restricted to a pond, God want us to entrust in him by launching our nets for the miraculous provision, peter could not believed it when the net was full of fish. God is always there to make things available. FAITH remains the password. Beloved, do not relax on your past exploits, dont be contended with the number of your converts(so to say). I heard God saying Harvest is plentiful but Laborers are few.
