FISHING REPORT - 6/8/2013 LESLIE DAM: Anglers reported on a slight increase of Golden Perch being landed early to mid week. We had reports on some nice fish being landed while casting the edges with TN50 Jackalls. There was also the odd fish landed on spinnerbaits with anglers casting just on the edge of the weed. The increase in activity was mainly due to the warmer temperatures. However, there was a noticeable decline over the weekend due to the windy conditions. CONNOLLY DAM: One local angler managed to land a couple of legal sized Golden Perch off the bank at Connolly over the weekend. These fish were landed on worms. MAROON / MOOGERAH: Moogerah has seen an increase in the numbers of Bass on the move, with some solid fish being landed in the deeper water in the main basin. These fish were landed on a variety of lures including Mask Vibes, Blades and Ice-jigs. There was also the odd fish landed in and around the timber on spinnerbaits. There has been a few nice Bass landed at Maroon on soft plastics over the past week. Maroon has a lot of weed pockets where the fish like to hide. Most of the fish landed have been in or around these weed pockets. We also had reports on Bass and Golden Perch landed on shrimps by anglers fishing in the bay to the right of the boat ramp. RIVERS/CREEKS: The rivers and creeks around Warwick have slowed down slightly during the past week. There were a few fish landed near the Bacon Factory over the weekend on yabbies. There were some nice fish, including a legal sized Cod, landed in the river on a private property in the Murrays Bridge area. These fish were landed on spinnerbaits.
