FIT TIP: Study by Journal for Strength and Conditioning Research shows that doing moderate intensity cardio for about 30 min prior to strength training increases testosterone levels (for muscle growth) almost 42% as compared to doing strength training before cardio which raised testosterone levels only 3%. Greater testosterone release could lead to greater hypertrophy. Of course, there are exceptions that may apply to these results (I.e. Intensity, volume and duration of your cardio or strength training session). See full study: Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. 2012. 12. 3281-3288.
