Any political system would work if all men were wise, but wisdom unfortunately is a rare thing. No man is fit to govern others unless he himself is wise, not wise only in the interests of his own particular class, but wise, in knowing what is best for all. When the leaders of the French revolution established a crude and cruel tyranny on the ruins of one they destroyed, they proved that they were not fit to be free...Freedom without self-imposed disciplined leads inevitably to moral anarchy...It is because God gave man a free hand that we have brought such misery upon ourselves. Had it been impossible for us to do wrong there would have been no wars, no martyrs, no sins nor any sorrows. Our freedom has been our downfall, but it couldnt have been otherwise because God has made us in his own image and likeness... Every time a crime is committed man proves that he is not fit to be free. Freedom must be harnessed to principles. We cannot enjoy true freedom unless we are prepared to enjoy it within the limits of virtue.. When all men understand this they will be wise, and when they are wise they will be happy. AND with these thoughts I bid you an awesome Spring day with rain in the air.
