FITCHBURG -- A 36-year-old Gardner man was ordered held without bail Thursday morning after appearing in Fitchburg District Court for his alleged involvement in the June 21 death of 26-year-old Luis Rodriguez. Dax A. Gibson was charged with murder, home invasion and armed assault in a dwelling. During his court appearance, he exercised his right to not have his face shown, and instead stood in a hallway just outside the courtroom. Gibson and his 25-year-old girlfriend, Ashley Fruguglietti, both of 265 Elm Street, Apt. 24, Gardner, were arrested last week at a home in Richmond, Va. They allegedly fled the state with their young child, who was taken into custody by Virginia social services after their arrest.
