FL Cop Killer accomplice sentenced to 2 consecutive life terms for the murder of Clay County Detective David White, 35 year old husband and father of 2 - On Feb. 16, 2012, Detective White said in his last text to his wife Jennifer that he would be late and to have dinner without him. White or Ted Tilley, a felon who was cooking meth with Wilder when deputies raided the house. Tilley opened fire, killing Det. White and wounding detective Matthew Hanlin - Tilley was killed by deputies - Under Florida law someone involved in a felony can be charged with murder if that felony helped cause a death.
