FLAG FOOTBALL WOLRD CHAMPIONSHIP Its playoff time at flag football world championship in Grosseto (Italy). Today is finished the regular season, and finally there was sun and very good weather. So, the delay caused by interruption in the morning it was cought up and the games are finished on time. There was any surprise about the teams qualyfied to playoffs, but the fight for take the best position was very strong in every group, also by the teams that friday will play for position from the 9th onwards. The afternoon starts with the win oh Austria against Korea, who permises at austrian team to arrive at the top of the group. The world champions makes a very good performance also against Italy, that lose 62-24 for her first ko in the tournament, but loses against Mexico, that with this result wins the group thanks the win in head-to-head against Austria. For the third place it has to wait the last game between Corea and Italy, who wins 48-6 and avoids the USA at quarter finals. Even thought it was clear which was the first 4 team, also other teams deserve applauses because they never stop to fight: Great Britain, Korea, Japan and Turkey, that obtaines her first win in the last game against Korea. USA wins group B thanks the win against Denmark (second), 27-25 in a very high level match. Canada beats Spain and confirms third place. Panama, defeated by USA in the last game, is the last team qualified for playoffs. Switzerland loses her hopes losing against Kuwait, which obtaines his first win and put Sweden at last position. Out of playoff also Spain. In women tournament, Canada closes the group A with a perfect record thanks the wins against Finland, Italy and Austria. At second place arrives Mexico, that loses only by Canada. Goes to playoffs also Austria, that loses against Mesico and Canada but wins against Sweden, and Italy, that for the first time in her history accesses to the top 8. For Italy was decisive the game against Japan, which will play for 9 th place. Finland takes her only win against Sweden, which remains at 0 points. USA wins group B, closing with no loses. American team is the only able to defeat France, which make showtime against Germany and Brasil. At playoffs also Germany and Panama, which is qualified thanks the wins against Israel and Brasil.
