FLAG WAVING AMERICANS AND THEIR GUNS I agree. We American had to tear ourselves away from your kingdom, further initiating the infrastructure of liberty we continue to have today. I submit that the worked-up about it as to discussions of cars n guns, as it were, may run deeper than bumper-sticker flag waving and American irritation with British Pierce Morgan wuss-templates. The Founders of the US understood the importance of the 2nd as a fundamental necessity of balance of power and they were DEAD SERIOUS about it - being that a single musket slug to the gut was far more deadly to the Fathers than any modern medium powered (5.56 is only a varmint round) assault rifle is to us today. They lived their doctrine with much higher risk than we do. The 2nd specifically protects the right to own, practice with and thus becoming expert in equipment typically found in possession of modern foot-soldiers, though larger munitions are not precluded, provided that such are used responsibly. The doctrine prevents tyranny as well as eliminates it when necessary. Americans are beginning to see the influence of 60 years+ of twisted contorted communist indoctrination upon our people and its destructive effect. The federal government is now absurdly top-heavy and bloated, whereby looking to government to solve our problems in our behalf is at best ill-advised. It atrophies our abilities to manage our own lives together as a community. However the Founders understood the nature of power grabbing within the ranks of corruption (the modern kind) and provided statehood as a viable infrastructure through which the People may work, having authority to remove federal power where necessary to restore it to the People. We are in that very process right now and are especially motivated after having experienced the inept workings of a constitutional marxist as president. I agree, Mr./Mrs. Janusha, that Americans absolutely feel something patriotic when our civil rights are trampled on by top-down commercial and social-engineered command structures and feel to wave the flag, so to speak, in defense against these communist influences. Flag waving should be seen as a defensive mechanism. Americans should add upon defensive feelings with further understanding by directing attention to the source of constitutional liberty and maintenance - the principles within the Constitution of the United States. Through the years at various times, I have heard and pondered certain of those principles and have begun to understand these words, We have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and position of almost all men, as soon as they get a little authority , as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion... Thats Mormon doctrine btw. Hence, in liberty we have the need for checks & balances so that tyranny will never run unopposed, the 2nd Amendment being chief among our balancing scales - the teeth of the Bill of Rights.
