FLASH BACK Rantoul had an A AND W restraunt who remembers,,,I wish it would come back,,,I can remember when I was about 7 years old back in the 70s,,mom and dad would treat us to ,,, A AND W,,,affter church but it wasnt all the time we had to earn that ,,,we had to behave and be good all week and one of the things I really remember is the GALLON ,, A AND W,, ROOT BEER we would get,,and take that home,,I can remember my dad and brother Lonnie kinda talking LOUD as to who was going to get the PAPA burger,,,DAD usually won,,me of course I got the baby burger,,AHHHH WHAT MEMORIES,,I WANT OLD RANTOUL BACK,,WHO REMEMBERS THE OLD A AND W RESTRAUNT IN RANTOUL,,,you know I wish some of these bars here in Rantoul, or the restrauntraunt bars would have a ROOT BEER FLOAT ,,,it would taste so GOOD ON A HOT DAY,, most of the bars I have been into all they have is either pepsi or coke,,but a nice frosty mug and some good root beer,,,would bring others into the place,,doesnt have to be a root beer float but a good cold glass of it would be very nice,,I KNOW ITS ONLY IN MY DREAMS,,,you know theres no place down town for me to even get any Ice cream,,AND THAT REALLY SUCKS I dont drive,,so Im out of luck,,,rantoul needs an ice cream shop down town here,,baskin robins is accross that 4 lane road I cant dart accross 4 lanes of traffic and the walk sign isnt on long enough,,once again Ive bombed out,,,I was hit by a car once tryin to cross over that intersection Im not about to try again,,Ive been hurt one too many times in that intersection ,,,mom said if I get hurt one more time Id be moving back home,,back into my old bedroom,,my apartment means alot to me its the only real accomplishment Ive had,,been here 20 years want to keep it,,
