FLASH FLOOD WATCH – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio from 6pm today June 12 through 8am Thursday, June 13. rainfall rates of 1 to 4 inches will be possible with many of the thunderstorms later this afternoon and tonight. total rainfall amounts of 2 to locally as high as 5 inches are possible in some locations. A combination of wet ground conditions and the rapid rainfall rates will increase the threat for flash flooding across the area... especially in areas where thunderstorms persist for extended periods of time. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
