FLASHBACK FRIDAY | MOJO WITH JOJO In this very spot, on this very treadmill it occurred to me I could train forever. I distinctly remember being unemployed with zero prospects on the horizon. I would purposely come to the 2pm Pro Practice and workout next to Team Alpha Male so I could borrow their mojo. My financial/professional situation was getting more bleak my the second, I needed positive energy to get me through my days. I had been unemployed for 5 months, I had no idea what I was going to do, so I just focused on my health. God had blessed me with incredible people to learn from, so I did. I clearly remember one day the boys running at me with tires over their heads, dripping in sweat, totally shredded and all wearing smile. At that second I thought IF they can make a living doing this, I can too. I truly had no idea what that meant. I thought, maybe Ill be a trainer. I turned off the treadmill and when home to google personal trainer. I flipped open the laptop, found the only school at the time and flirted the idea with changing careers. I called a girlfriend and asked if she wanted to head to LA and check it out... I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Sitting in Sacramento was comfortable but it was a slow road to drowning in my sorrows and slowly losing everything I had. Suffice to say I was blown away from the second I got in my car. One sign after another was delivered to let me know I was on the right track. I moved 20 days later. I drained my lifes savings and moved to a brand new city in order to create the life I imagined for myself; a life where I too ran around with a smile on my face while I was at work. NOTHING CAME EASY, BUT EVERYTHNG WAS WORTH IT. TENFOLD Seven years later I am still crafting the ultimate picture of what I would love my life to look and feel like. Ultimately my main purpose has been to radiate the same encouraging/inviting mojo that the boys once provided to me. It was the determining factor in my life.
