"FLAVORS of CHRISTIANS" Baskin-Robins list 31 flavors of their ice cream; Ben & Jerry are indicated to have about 3 dozen flavors of ice cream (but you would probably not know that if you are aware of to whom they support financially and thus would never consider being their customer but treating them in the same way and for the same reasons as the avoiding of being a customer and thus a supporter of Starbuck’s and all others of their kind) . . . Having not noted the term Christian ever appearing in Scripture used for the followers of Our Creator’s Son, Jesus the Christ; the Hebrew Jewish Messiah, they described there only as DISCIPLES. The understanding is that the term ‘Christian’ came into use not in the Scriptures but quite a bit later and that by Gentiles . . . THUS One might seemingly reasonable conclude that this is the reason the that the name, Christian, can and does seem to have a variety of different meaning, much like the multitude ice creams flavors that are available from each one of the ice cream makers and thus from the pronouncements and activities of ones claiming to be Christians , this sheds a bit of light in considering this analogy when applied to the puzzle resulting from what has been heard and seen coming from those professing to be a Christian . . . . and this brings us back to fact of the constant need to always remember that “by their fruits you will know them” and “out of the heart/soul the mouth/tongue speaks”. THE POINT? One might well expect to find a multitude of different ‘flavors’ among those described as “Christian”. We however tend to lean heavily toward the genuine article . . . and in ice cream that must always involve a dozen fresh eggs, milk from our own cows, sugar and pure vanilla extract; this cooked and constantly stirred in a double boiler with the results being great good vanilla custard that produces great ice cream from an old hand cranked wooden freezer; this the REAL guanine article – Southern Country Style – of which there is NO SUBSTITUTE!!!
