“FLICKS IN THE OUTFIELD” OUTDOOR MOVIE SERIES! The Jefferson County Department of Parks and Recreation will be offering an Outdoor Movie Series at the Northwest Jefferson County Sports Complex on three Saturday evenings in June. Come see the following critically acclaimed family movies on these dates in June: June 14 – MEGAMIND – Starring the voice talents of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey and Jonah Hill. The supervillain Megamind finally defeats his nemesis, the superhero Metro Man. But without a hero, he loses all purpose and must find new meaning to his life. June 21 – RANGO – Starring the voice talents of Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin and Ned Beatty. Rango is an ordinary chameleon who accidentally winds up in the town of Dirt, a lawless outpost in the Wild West in desperate need of a new sheriff. June 28 – MONSTERS VS ALIENS – Starring the voice talents of Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie and Kiefer Sutherland. A woman transformed into a giant after she is struck by a meteorite on her wedding day becomes part of a team of monsters sent in by the U.S. government to defeat an alien mastermind trying to take over Earth. These movies will all be played on a 28 foot outdoor screen, and admission is FREE to the public. Bring chairs, coolers and yourselves to all three of these productions at around 8:15 pm, and enjoy sitting in the outfield grass while enjoying this great movie experience!
