FLOOD WARNING: At 532 PM CDT...Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in the advisory area. Some locations that will experience minor flooding include Kenosha...Racine...Janesville...Beloit...Mount Pleasant...Pleasant Prairie...Whitewater...Elkhorn...Lake Geneva...Mukwonago... Sturtevant...Twin Lakes...Milton...Edgerton...Union Grove...East Troy...Paddock Lake...Williams Bay...Wind Lake and Delavan Lake. Additional rainfall of up to 1 inch in an hour is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in lowland and urban flooding. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water in urban areas...highways...streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
