This includes the city of de queen... * Until 515 pm cdt * At 219 pm cdt...National weather service meteorologists continued to detect areas of showers and a few embedded thunderstorms continuing to develop and slowly move east southeast across sevier...Howard...And northern hempstead counties. Rain rates have diminished significantly across these areas...Which have seen widespread three to in excess of six inches of rain since this morning. The light to moderate rainfall will allow for continued runoff...Which may result in persistent minor flooding of low lying...Poor drainage areas through late afternoon until shortly after the rains subside. A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported. Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected. However...All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately. Additional rainfall amounts of a quarter to around a half inch...With isolated higher amounts...Are possible in the warned area through 515 pm. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.
