FLORIDA- Governor Rick Scott claims he was elected to run the Party and ensure all of the Republican candidates that he approves will win. I thought he was elected Governor to run the state, not the Party. Citizens in the grassroots are responsible for the Party. This is dishonest and corrupt. Citizens have had their right to participate in the political process revoked. Our public servants have become new political masters. First, Party leaders changed campaign finance law to take the Partys money and send it instead to private independent Political Action Committees and Leadership PACs. Second, they wrote laws and rules giving our new political masters extra votes within the Party, to prevent citizens in the grassroots from taking back control. Its un-American and anti-democratic. Its the reason weve seen half of our members abandon the Party. Governor Scott is only helping to close the political process, eliminate citizen participation and hijack our freedom. Listen to him describe his job. Hes confused. Hes wrong.
