DESCRIPTION :- • This is an in-situ modelling event. • It includes the preparation of a light weight concrete boat(block). • It should float on water. • Dimensions of the block should be 30*20*5 cms. • A maximum of 4 members are allowed to participate as a team. • Materials provided are disclosed at the time of the event. TESTING CRITERIA: Testing is done on the succeeding day. • The dead weight of the block is taken. • For the testing to be done on the block prepared, Primarily it should float on water . • Load is applied on the block prepared until the top surface just sinks. JUDGEMENT CRITERIA: • Efficiency of the block is calculated as: (load beared till it sinks/dead weight)*100 • The block having the highest efficiency is considered as the winner.
