FLY GRAZING Horse welfare organisations have just launched a major report, Stop the Scourge, about the worsening fly-grazing problem in this country. Its very relevant to us now that Mr. Stubley continues to leave his herd illegally on Everards land. The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee (EFRACom) held a one-day inquiry on fly-grazing today (3 September). A number of horse charities gave evidence. Next month, Parliament will debate a proposed change in the law when MP Julian Sturdy’s Control of Horses Bill will have its Second Reading. We realise that stamping out flygrazing for the future still begs the question about what happens to the thousands of horses currently involved, a concern that is not easily answered. What we do know is that unless something changes, with winter coming more horses like Hope will die, so these are important steps. Please have a look at the report @ fossehorses.files.wordpress/2014/09/fly-grazing-report.pdf Thanks Ben and Admin
