FLYING, DROPS HOODOO RING New York Girl, In Aeroplane, Throws Away Unlucky Turquoise Miss Josephine Lewis Peel of New York, who is in Palm Beach, Fla., with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pope of New York, went up in an aeroplane against the wishes of her relatives. At the height of a thousand feet she got a bad scare when the machine tilted. She pulled a turquoise ring from her finger and threw it away, having heard it was bad luck to wear the stone.
