FOCUS ON THE PROPHETIC The Scriptures have much to say about prophets and prophesy in both New and Old Testaments. The Apostle Paul certainly has much to say about it in regards to how it was to operate in the first century apostolic church. But what is the role of prophets and the prophetic in the apostolic church of the 21st century? In this current New Apostolic Reformation movement, we definitely consider without a doubt the prophetic and the restoration of the office of prophet as major core values of our movement. Some streams of the apostolic emphasize it more than others. But at IMPACT, we consider it an extremely important part of the mandate God has given us. But there are also various prophetic streams emphasizing what they consider different and important aspects of the prophetic. Some of those aspects are viewed as extreme and or weird by some leaders in the apostolic movement, and considered questionable practice for the church. Others have no problem with them. And then there is a stream within the apostolic movement that would just prefer not to deal with possible extremes or potential problems in the prophetic, and shut it down all together. They feel it will hinder church growth rather than help facilitate it. We at IMPACT very much value the prophetic and the role of prophets in the church. We also recognize that there are fringes of the prophetic that are operating outside of biblical parameters. So I feel we need to FOCUS ON THE PROPHETIC in this Spring Round Table and revisit the various aspects of the prophetic that I feel is very important to building strong apostolic churches for the 21st century. Some of the areas we will be touching on and discussing: prophetic preaching prophetic teaching prophetic training and activation prophetic and church growth prophetic protocol correcting prophets dealing with off prophecies prophetic worship prophetic evangelism prophetic presbytery governing the prophetic dealing with Jezebel prophetic renewal movements discerning the true from the false where are current prophetic movements going dealing with false prophets the role of prophets in the 21stcentury church prophetic in the marketplace the prophet and the apostle - how should they relate prophecy and your eschatology perspective prophetic and prosperity prophetic teams prophetic and the nations raising up a prophetic people prophetic intercession and Shamar prophets the prophetic and deliverance the prophetic and eldership demystifying the prophetic I will not have time to teach in-depth on these subjects. But the purpose of touching on these prophetic topics and discussing them at the Round Table is to help leaders consider where these aspects of the prophetic fit into the blueprint of building a strong apostolic church in the 21st century. I also want to use this time to have us discuss problems that have arisen with prophets or the prophetic in your church and how to deal with them. This is such an important subject that we really need to address in this season. There will also be times for personal prophetic ministry from our Crusaders Church teams for those participating, should you desire it.
