FOLKS, I KNOW YOUR TIME IS VALUABLE, BUT I IMPLORE YOU TO READ WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN HERE, FOLLOW THE LINKS, AND MAKE A SMALL DONATION TO HELP SomeOfUs.org FIGHT BACK AT MONSANTO. After watching a documentary regarding genetically modified organism (GMO) corn and other food plants plus food animals fed with them, I feel compelled to donate a dollar to the cause. The primary reason is my concern for my grandchildren and all children in general. They actually have corn that can resist Roundup herbicide. That is how all these farm fields stay so free of weeds. This stuff (Roundup) is actually a modified version of agent orange, the herbicide that was sprayed on the jungles of Vietnam and is what is responsible for many of the health problems of returning Vietnam veterans, including primarily, soft-tissue sarcoma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (including hairy-cell leukemia), Hodgkin’s disease, and chloracne. And it could be indirectly responsible for the rising epidemic of ADHD and autism in children. And there is this: TCDD is the most potent compound (congener) of its series (polychlorinated dibenzodioxins, known as PCDDs or simply dioxins) and became known as a contaminant in Agent Orange, a herbicide used in the Vietnam War. TCDD was released into the environment in the Seveso disaster. It is a persistent environmental contaminant usually present in a complex mixture of dioxin-like compounds, and is a carcinogen. Here are links to Wikipedia, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzodioxin, the World Health Organization (WHO) fact sheet regarding dioxins, who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs225/en/, and one more fact sheet regarding the effects of dioxins on human health, makeagentorangehistory.org/agent-orange-resources/background/health-effects-of-agent-orange-dioxin/. Also, Mother Jones has an article here< V, showing that Roundup is damaging soil. This is REAL scary, folks, and SumOfUs.org needs help to successfully challenge Monsantos arrogance and blatant disregard for human lives in favor of the bottom line. THINK OF YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR GRANDCHILDREN! I am not usually into things like this, but I believe that we must ALL make Monsanto accountable for their actions.
