FOLLOWING THE ALLEGATIONS BY PAUL ERIS (A.K.A OGUNBOSS) ON SOCIAL MEDIA REPLY FROM NATIONAL IJAW YOUTH MOVEMENT (NIYM) Firstly, it is common knowledge in Bayelsa that a fixed fee of N300, 000 charged for the use of Izon Wari Hall. The said fee is charged so as to generate revenue for the Ijaw National Congress for maintenance of facilities in the building as is done in every other part of Nigeria. Any person or group that has organized an event there, including aides and relations of the Governor have paid to use the place. Furthermore, if Ogunboss and his group where actually carrying out a peaceful fasting they do not need security as there are a lot of groups in Bayelsa that have been holding prayers for Mr. president and none has been given special security cover. Equally, it is common knowledge that the Governor of Bayelsa state has both in private and public called prayers and fasting for Mr. President and the country without ceasing. Therefore, Ogunboss cannot claim to be supportive of Mr. President than Governor Seriake Dickson. It may also be necessary to state here that the role of Governor Dickson as one of the major pillars of support to Mr President dates back to his days as Deputy Governor, Governor, Vice President and now president. And Ogunboss and his political pay masters whom we know cannot be more Catholic than the pope. On the issue of arresting and detaining political opponents, Ogunboss knows that Hon. Seriake Dickson as a young Nigeria served his country meritoriously in the capacity of a police officer for ten years and practiced as a legal practitioner in different parts of the country before venturing into politics where he held different positions including the office of Attorney General of Bayelsa State as well as a Legislator at the Federal level, during which period he had no record of preventing the course of justice. Ogunboss cannot claim to be unaware of the massive infrastructural projects going on in Bayelsa State including the 38km road from Yenagoa to Oporoma and the Airport project both of which are sited in his southern Ijaw LGA. It is also not in place of Ogunboss to determine whether a project would be completed or not. It is clear that he and his pay masters do not want development in the state. They prefer a situation where funds are embezzled in the name of payments of militants. It is crystal clear that Ogunboss is angry because Governor Dickson has stopped the about N250 million that was usually given to a group of armed bandits in the name of Militants. People like Ogunboss and his political pay masters should be ashamed that in one and half years Dickson is turning Bayelsa into the Dubai of Africa and a cynosure of all eyes. On the shooting of his Cousin: it is only criminal minds and sponsors of criminality and enemies of our state and nation that would condemn the steps taking by the chairman Southern Ijaw LGA forestall crude oil theft, illegal refinery, pipeline vandalization, sea piracy and other criminal activities within the waterways. Ogunboss, who has been fingered to be responsible for the frequent communal clashes in his home town of Pereamabiri, cannot hide under the cloak of drumming support for Mr. President to prevent the law from taking its course. All well meaning Nigerian, including the president should be weary of characters like Ogunboss who knew all these allegations and has refused, failed or neglected to publish them only to do that now that his cousin has been arrested by the law enforcement agents for bunkering and economic sabotage. It is clear that for him it would have been better that his criminal relations continue to sabotage the National economy instead of being brought to justice. Finally, comments by Ogunboss on social media clearly show that he is one of the divisive elements we have in Bayelsa State who go about peddling rumors of discord between Mr. President and Governor Dickson, where there is none. It is also imperative to inform Ogunboss and his political pay masters who want to contest elections that they can never create any discord between Mr. President and Governor Dickson so as to weep sentiment for support. They are ashamed that relative peace has existed in the state and between Mr. President and Governor Dickson since he assumed office and has been demonstrating undiluted support and loyalty to Mr. President.
