FOO FIGHTERS SONIC HIGHWAY SERIES ON HBO Dave Grohl moved me to my core when he gave the keynote speech at Austins SXSW festival in 2013. I dig him even more now after viewing the first episode of the HBO series, Foo Fighters Sonic Highways. Its about so much more than music! The entire show is musically, intellectually, and spiritually stimulating. Its also shares a positive message about the unlimited potential we human beings carry around within us. That dude has done plenty for my friends in the underground rock scene, if only by realizing how completely fxxxing amazing the music from the desert is....and I AM a fan! Tonight I watched the Washington DC episode filled with amazing live footage of Bad Brains, Trouble Funk, Misfits and more. It was a nostalgic and uplifting experience. Thanks to Scott Reeder for making me aware of the series when I interviewed him a couple months back, and for keeping us all in the loop as the shows materialized. Now I can speak like someone who has seen them.
