FOOD & BEVERAGE MONTH- Still love the mid tempo funk of this version. This was the version I grew up with (Not the Shuggie Otis original) so im partial to it....even though, I honestly think the groove is stronger & showcases the lyrics better. ;-) Sparkling in the sand, I had described yesterday as a bay area ,acid drenched, r & b joint .....well this is a tad slicker,but it falls into that same category. Images every bit as Psychedelic as Lucy in The Sky with Diamonds....but coached in a funkier musical environment.Playground will laugh if you try to ask.....is it cool? ...is it cool? Yup.
