FOOD & BEVERAGE MONTH- The funny thing about all of the folks riding on George Clinton & P-Funks sound ,was they could get a solid & drop dead funk SOUND happening......but when they tried to cop the lyrical ideas,they usually failed miserably.WHat they mistook as just nonsensical ramblings.....were actually coming from a genius creative mind,who even in his most ridiculous lyrical conceits held a super clever & intelligent base.Like Frank Zappa,there was a method to the seeming madness. Nothing against George Duke,Lenny White,The Gap band etc........they all made immensely danceable & funky records. Just for me ,when I was young....the lyrics always came off pedestrian & fell short of what P-funk was actually doing.
