FOOD FOR THE CHARIOTS SATURDAY 22ND NOVEMBER, 2014 THEME: GLORIFY GOD IN ALL YOUR DEEDS. SCRIPTURE: Colossians 3:16-17 ( emphases on verse 17) …16Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord. 1 Pet. 4:11.says, That God in all things may be glorified. The glory of God is a silver thread which must run through all our actions. l Cor. 10:31 also says Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. The great truth asserted is that the end of every mans living should be to glorify God. Glorifying God has respect to all the persons in the Trinity; it respects God the Father who gave us life; God the Son, who lost his life for us; and God the Holy Ghost, who produces a new life in us; we must bring glory to the whole Trinity. Christians are vessels that God is glorified. Because of this, He creates every opportunity for you just to glorify his name. Beloved, no situation we finds ourselves in, in life is useless and every place and opportunities that comes our way, first of all is to glorify God. Your claim of love for God would be determine by how well you used these things to glorify God. We write this because of the disgraceful trend that is now going on among us christians expecially the youth. Technology has made it more easier for us to talk about Jesus to many people at a very short time. Mobile phones have become a great instrument to glorify God but many of us christians are abusing this great opportunities even innthe negative. The introduction of whatsapp platforms and facebook are great opportunities for us to lift up the name of the Lord to other people and to encourage other believers who are down in spirit. Your love for God is determined by how much you talks about him to others on your own not through force. To tell you the truth, many of us though Christians are glorifying the devil little by little by the various things we also join others paste on platforms. Exermine yourself! Its true this platforms are made up of people with various believes, but that doesnt mean we should play according to their style. We need to take advantage of every available opportunities and tell the world who we are by sharing Jesus and pasting messages of encouragements on our various platforms because these are the very people we are to glorify God to. Many are hidding their identity as christians and are leading double lives. When in church, they are christians but in outside, they are something else. So I ask, are these people really christians. Matthew 5:16 says In the same way, let your light shine before people in such a way that they will see your good actions and glorify your Father in heaven.” As a representative of God on this earth, you are the light that must shine before others who are in darkness and through your deeds, our father would be glorify. We must also know that, we are living among people who dont believe in our God and what we do among them is very important. As 1 Peter 2:12 also says Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. We pray this would bring a change in things we share on this various platforms. Just declare you would be committed in propergating christ in all your ways. PRAYER: Father have mercy on me for not using every opportunity I have to glorify you. Give me grace to begin and be committed in sharing in every platform and places I find myself.
