FOOD FOR THOUGHT: As I was trying to console a dear sister in her struggles of repetitive sin and discouragement.....this is what I wrote Sister, it is because we are all born with the nature of evil and sin. We can not change our nature, it is natural law, to be passed down from one generation to the next. Adam our father chose to not trust God and ate from the tree in the midst of the garden. And so the separation from God began, as we pass birth down to our families and our children to the next and each successive generation, we see the nature of sin, the consequence of our ancestors Adams fall. We can not change natural law it is ordained by God for he created all law and God does not change. Take the law of gravity what goes up must come down, unless we add another natural law such as physics, all things will be pulled to the earth by gravity it is nature, a natural law made in the beginning by God! As you said in an earlier post from our grand father Adam, because of his sin we as a humanity have no hope for the consequences of sin is death, eternal separation from God...there is nothing we can do to change or stop the struggling nature we have from our for fathers, but we can be BORN AGAIN! That is why Christ stepped in, and made a way Once again God knowing the end from the beginning made a way to unite with God the Father once again...It is one thing to go to church and believe, remember the devil believed but he is still fallen and he lived at one time in heaven! Gods perfect love allows all to have Choice- freedom...and as you can see all around you in the world not too many hear the voice of God, nor understand that perfect love so they chose life with a death sentence of eternal separation from God, why? Because the majority live with the nature they were born with. And even though God waits patiently at the door of our hearts some do not even chose then to cling to the Love that God once intended for all his creation to have! Perfect Love comes with a price God gave Lucifer a choice and God gave man a choice to trust but there will never be a forced love by rules! We will always have a choice! In this world we are born with a nature of sin and evil in our hearts continuing unto death, We have to become a part of God share in the divinity of the original gift and intention of Love. And that is why the only begotten SON of GOD was brought into this world ... God gave us a choice. Jesus was made in the nature of sinful flesh and blood, a babe in Bethlehem, our same natural state. So he could become sin for us without having sin, Jesus was born just like us, yet he partook of the nature of His Father from eternity past, He already had goodness and mercy and everlasting life, for he was all those things. . Jesus was tempted and struggled and bled and was hurt in feelings just like us! But one thing different He had in nature that he was born with, that we do not have, is He shared divinity righteousness and goodness with His Father for Jesus can not chose himself he already was this nature. Jesus did not have to chose God because he inherited from the foundations of the world that divinity that perfect goodness for He was the SON of GOD from eternity past! He was one with God he did not have to struggle with separation from God , until HIS death on the cross, that is why Jesus is called the second Adam. That is how He became our substitute and surety, only because of the cross, he suffered like man he separated from God and he died! But jesus rose again because he had the nature of righteousness already in him and so when we chose the new birth we too can have the righteousness that Jesus paved the way for us! we too can chose to partake of the NEW BIRTH to Chose to accept the NATURE of GOD living in us! With out the cross we would be like the people of old we would be looking forward to the Christ the Savior of the world to come. But HE has Come the gift is here and so many of our churches are having us still struggle and fret with trying to take the gift of God and turn it into our righteousness! Christ struggled like us But he did not sin Why because he shared in the divinity the Good of the Father! And because of the CROSS we too can have the choice and understanding to have a new nature to become a part of divinity to become spotless in our spirit and character... We must believe the POWER of the cross, and what happened at the cross. Jesus conquered sin Jesus conquered death and ONLY Jesus can give us a new heart and a new life..we need to pray for FAITH in Him! Amen, all throughout Gods Word it claims what Jesus can and has done for us! Believe that we can do nothing of changing our nature that we were born with. But we can believe in the new life and we find this not by going to church or by belonging to one religion or another, for the message going out to the world is never going to be changing all the christians into Sabbath keepers or SDAs, not even by keeping the Sabbath, or any of the other commandments! For Love does not command Love transforms and give us patience to see and experience this transformation in us that God will do for us, for if we keep the Sabbath believing that we are doing it on our own then we are claiming a part of the righteousness and gift from God.... for deep in our hearts if we break one part of the law we break them all and that causes separation from God,,,what a dilemma? poor man , He tries to do good but the Bible says no not one is good but GOD....Here is faith! ALL we can do is accept Gods Gift of His only begotten Son, and in turn humble thyself in the sight of the LORD and HE will lift you up! It is a promise from Gods mouth, His Word! All we have to do is accept the perfect gift from the Father, Jesus the Christ whom he has sent! and by the power of Gods own holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ the Comforter, Read John 14:16 & 18 and allow Gods Word (Jesus) to live in you, and watch the transformation of your faith! And another promise has been given to us in His Holy Word Christ in you the hope of glory!... unto HIM (Christ) that is able to keep you, able to keep you from falling and to present you spotless to the glory of the Father. This is Faith Heb 11:1 Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, (Christ living in you doing all the work he has promised) and the evidence of things unseen the world can not see it but you will we have a promise that we will be a part of Him. Christ Through HIS spirit, and the Father, they will come into us and we will partake of their nature and we will sup with the Father and his Son by feeding on the Word... We struggle with sin because of our unbelief not on purpose but because we have been indoctrinated to believe we have to change and struggle and have a part in working of our salvation when all we really have to do is trust in the Word of God (Christ Jesus) Through FAITH in Jesus and then comes the obedience for Christ worketh all of the Fathers will in us..it GRACE unmerited favor Faith is a gift from God least any man should boast Eph. 2:8 so my beloved sister Go to our God and accept His gift of eternal life and HE will transform you one moment at a time. Hold onto His love and pray with out ceasing...but most of all WATCH what HE will do to your mind and your heart and the struggle will be gone and you will be prepared for heaven! The obedience will LIVE in you because Christ is your master and you will no longer have to struggle with the worldly mess! we will still morn and cry for the abominations in the world against our loving GOD but as Psalms 91 says.... 10,000 will fall at your side but none will come nigh thee...get it, the world will be falling apart but Gods people will hear His voice and follow...Remember sister how very close we are to the end...this message is going to the world John 17:3 to know the one true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent! hope this helps! It is the Elijah message of the third angel( messenger) Remember, when you get discouraged, we can only turn from sin if we have the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE living in us then we delight to do thy will oh God because these are the words of Christ...we will do the Fathers will not of our own, but by the faith of Jesus, we will have the righteousness of Christ and hope of Glory living in us!
