FOOD FOR THOUGHT::PARABLE Two men were traveling, and were faced with the task of crossing a frozen river to get to the other side. Upon investigating the ice, they found that there were parts that were completely unsafe and there were parts that were solid. These unsafe paths were not marked, nor easy to see.. Both began their journey at separate distances crossing over the ice to get to the other side. For clarity one was named Pete and the other was name Simon... Pete, began singing songs, hymns and praising God as he began to cross, and Simon began to walk with worry and stress. As Pete walked and praised God, he noticed ice cracking all around him, so he praised God even more(Because the ice cracked around him and God preserved him). On the other hand, Simon was stressing because the ice was cracking around him and He contemplated going back. In deep fear, Simon began to crawl and cried out to God in frustration. Pete, kept giving God glory and praise as he reached the other side safely, and continued his journey. Simon finally made it while continually complaining to God, and as he reached the other side, he waited until his stress levels and blood pressure etc. became normal. MORROW: PETE REALIZED THAT THE BREAKING ICE AND PITFALLS WERE HAPPENING AROUND HIM AND NOT TO HIM SO, AS HE CROSSED OVER FOR HE WAS ABLE TO SEE THE HAND OF GOD MOVING IN HIS FAVOR... SIMON COMPLAINED AS HE CROSSED AND THOUGHT GOD HAD NEGLECTED HIM, AND WOULD NOT ALLOW HIS SPIRITUAL EYES TO OPEN TO SEE THE HAND OF GOD WORKING... BOTH DID MAKE IT ACROSS, HOWEVER, ONE MAN SKATED ACROSS AND THE OTHER CRAWLED IN FEAR. EVEN THOUGH THINGS APPEAR TO BREAK ALL AROUND YOU, ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT GOD IS SHOWING THAT HE IS PROTECTING YOU IN YOUR JOURNEY. KEEP YOUR TRUST IN GOD AND PRAISE YOUR WAY THROUGH!!
