FOOD FOR THOUGHT !While in Montego Bay had conversations with a few people from other countries.Ireland, Britain, Germany, Jamaica, France, India,Lebanon. I qualified my questions and asked them what they thought of the USA. Saying I wouldnt feel slighted at all if it was negative .Most were positive in nature. But the major complaint was US has to stop acting as world protector. And stop trying to make US values and ideas. Other countries ideas and values. They seem to think USA has a tendency more or less colonize other countries. And then make them feel that their assets are now USA assets through obligations. Many of our allies feel it time to stop the super power military thing. Many feel regional disputes should be handled by countries in those regions.What is amazing USA spends 6 times as much as Russia spends on its military both spend 4.4% of their GNP. USA spends 4 times as much as China but its 2% of Chinas GNP!
