FOOD RECALL: Truitt Brothers Inc. is recalling 1.77 million pounds of Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Singles - Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac, because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The U.S. Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service said the products were made with hydrolyzed soy protein and dried soy sauce, which are not listed on some labels. The 3.3 pound cases contain six, nine-ounce microwaveable containers of the product with a Use By/Sell By date code of March 2, 2014 - Oct. 23, 2014. The products were made between May 6, 2013 and Jan. 16, 2014. They were shipped to Kraft Foods distribution centers and retail locations nationwide. No other Velveeta or Kraft products were impacted by this recall. Consumers with questions about the recall should contact the Kraft Foods Consumer Relations Center at 1-800-396-5512.
