FOOTBALL Epping-Newmarket 33 Bishop Brady 21 CONCORD — Joe Leclerc ran for 234 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Blue Devils improved to 3-4 with the win. Despite both schools having one regular-season game left, Epping-Newmarket and Bishop Brady (3-4) will meet in the Division III East championship game. The Blue Devils have the inside track on home-field advantage. If Epping (3-4) can beat Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough (3-3) next week, or if Brady (3-4) loses to Franklin (0-6), the Devils will host the Giants in the championship game on Nov. 9. If Epping loses next week, and Brady beats Franklin, the Giants will host the Devils. Ive been telling this team for the past three weeks, if we cut down on some mistakes and we play like weve been playing in the first halves of our games, we can compete with any team in this division, Epping-Newmarket coach Ross Salovitch said. Tonight they came pretty close to putting it all together, and it showed. Bishop Brady jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but Leclerc got the Blue Devils on the board with a 66-yard touchdown run. The subsequent 2-point conversion gave Epping-Newmarket an 8-7 lead. Leclerc scored again the second quarter on a 5-yard run and added another touchdown run in the third quarter. Alex Santos also scored a 2-yard touchdown run for the Blue Devils.
