FOOTBALL RESULTS In todays football games Gibraltar Utd beat Gib Phoenix 4-0 and Olympique beat Hound Dogs 4-1 in a very one sided affair. Gibraltar managed to drastically outscore Phoenix although the result does not reflect the game pattern. The first half was a very even affair with both teams playing a very dull encounter as we entered the half time 0-0. Second half came and Gibraltar Utd came out on a mission. Stefan Cumbo opened the scoring with a neat finish and Brad Power extended the lead with a sweetly timed shot. Gibraltar then had a player sent off in Carl Thomas for a second yellow card but still they pressed on and managed to gain a third and a fourth courtesy of Lee Muscat who made a fantastic debut. The result though did not add up to the play, as Gibtaltar just edged Phoenix although the result might imply otherwise. In the Second game of the night Olympique smashed Hound Dogs 4-1 with goals from Daniel DAmato bagging a well deserved brace and Justin Santos converting a penalty kick with the other goal originating from a Sean Harrison own goal. The Hound Dogs goalscorer was Leeroy Ruiz who scored a belter of a goal as he managed to strike a half volley that went straight for the top corner. Top top strike from Ruiz who usually plays down the wing but repayed his managers faith in him with this stunner!! 5point4 bringing news to you...
