FOR ALL OF YOU OUT THERE CONSIDERING CHANGING YOUR EYE COLOR - TopicsExpress

FOR ALL OF YOU OUT THERE CONSIDERING CHANGING YOUR EYE COLOR PERMANENTLY LIKE TIS WIFE TINY COTTLE: THIS IS FOR YOU. CONTRARY TO WHAT YOU MAY BELIEVE, BROWN EYES ARE MORE RARE THAN BLUE. ALL HUMANS HAVE BLUE OR GREY EYES. What makes us unique is a protective layer of melanin pigment over the iris. The more pigment you have, the darker your eye color will be. Blue or green eyes are a genetic mutation, a mistake in the DNA which prevents the brown protective layer from forming. Green eyes come from a thinner layer of this brown pigment, and it is the same melanin that gives us varying skin and hair shades. THUS, EVERYONE HAS BLUE EYES, BUT NOT EVERYONE HAS BROWN. If you pulverized the layer of brown pigment with a laser, which has been done in cases of heterochromia (genetic deformity of two different eye colors) WE WOULD ALL HAVE ICY EYES. Let that sink in, before we argue about whats rare and what isnt. This is not to be divisive at all. I find all colors to be beautiful, including those of our irises. So I am disturbed at the news about incredibly talented American musician Tiny Cottle risking blindness to get an extremely risky NOT FDA APPROVED THUS NOT AVAILABLE IN AMERICA foreign operation done to permanently implant colored lenses in her eyes. Why all the self-hatred Tiny? It is not about the color of the eyes, but the expressiveness, the shape, the size... I have seen eyes in the most incredible colors that simply were not even noticeable in comparison to my large wide-set warm brown eyes and long lush lashes. I have never seen eyes like mine except for on my father, and when he is gone, he will live through these eyes. These big brown eyes, sparkly and inviting, are his legacy. I was first noticed as a model because of my EYES, my huge expressive BROWN EYES. I have never been told that my brown eyes were anything but incredible. I have been criticized about every other body part, but NEVER MY EYES. Plus, even if I were told that they WERENT as beautiful as blue or green, I wouldnt believe it anyway because I KNOW they are brown and beautiful. I wouldnt trade them for anything, even if I had a safe way to do it. Its not about the color, its about how it comes across. Rapper TIs wife Tiny Cottle always struck me as someone who felt a lot of pressure and distress due to being teased for her strange looks (I say unique, how boring would it be if we all looked the same). That is why I am not shocked and feel empathetic that she elected to get dangerous surgery which is littered with complications such as permanent BLINDNESS. WHY DONT PEOPLE TRUST DOCTORS AND SCIENTISTS AND THEY TRUST CELEBRITIES/VAIN PEOPLE? Do you think doctors wouldnt want to make money conducting this surgery? IT IS BECAUSE IT IS A BAD BAD BAD (x100293837282) IDEA! BAD!!!! With all this access to research and information, with all that money you have for your flashy cars and reality shows and fancy houses, did you not have a penny to spare for a thought about your vision/health and the kind of message you would send to your children about looks being more important than well-being? I understand that being in the public eye and looking differently from what Hollywood worships, Tiny must have been tired of the cruel taunts... But is this what we do to ourselves in the face of pressure by others? WHEN SOMEONE TELLS YOU THAT YOU ARENT BEAUTIFUL BC YOU ARE NOT WHAT MAKES THEM COMFORTABLE OR WHAT THEY ARE USED TO, PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. When they say that, they are not showing you your outer ugliness, but their inner. We are better than this. BLUE/GREY/GREEN/BROWN/BLACK AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN, ALL EYE COLORS ARE BEAUTIFUL. BE HAPPY AS YOU ARE!
