FOR ALL THAT HAVE ASKED HOW I BECAME A PANTHER FAN. When I was 20 years old I fell 40 ft off a roof I shattered my left ankle it is 85% titanium metal. I shattered both hands. I broke my lumbar spine and broke my jaw.. I was in the hospital for a month then went to a rehab center for 6 months. . I had to learn how do everything over again.. Plenty of times I sat there and wanted to give up.. I felt I was a burden to my friends and family members..they had to push me in a wheel chair and wait on me hand and foot, I pushed everyone away from me. The only thing that kept me motivated was Football, that year I learned more about football and more in depth about our Panthers. It got so bad I could tell you about every player from Damn near every team.. I knew every starter on the Panthers to every bench player I would have conversations with people and they would be surprised how much use less knowledge I knew. Stats, history, etc. My friends and family would joke around and tell me I needed a Hobbie, girlfriend or something. So Im not trying to say football saved my life but I am trying to say it did motivate me to not give up. I seen what football players accomplished when they got seriously injured and I know there were times they felt the way I did.. But they didnt give up.. That year I got so close to the Panthers and in the back of my mind I feel they helped me get through my struggles from my injury.. That is a big reason I had to move to Charlotte NC.. To be close to them and attend a home game.. 13 years later and I finally have made it.. I know my friends and family see the way I support and care about my team.. Some wonder how can he be a strong passion fan coming from Jersey.. There was Alot behind the reason I got so attached to the Panthers and football. When people ask me how I became a fan. I really could not explain to you in just a short sentence.. But know you know the story behind how I became. Even a stronger fan then I was. I have been a fan before they even played there first game at Clemson stadium. I t was so hard for me to follow the Panther back then, I had to watch the bottom of the TV screen for a score update just to keep track and then later watch high lights.. I would hope for a nationally televised game every year just so I could watch them.. God has blessed me with m Panther brothers and sisters. He never gave up on me when I got injured and he let my injuries not be life threatening.. He has worked through the Panthers to connect me to my Panther family. Even though Friday is only a exhibition game it will be history in the making for me and very emotional.. I love you all and I thank you for the one who read this..
