FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Bayo Parks RT x TR +/- (T x R) log10 RT = RR^4 The amalgamation of cutting-edge performance, state-of-the-art gallery exhibition, monumental sculptural installation and high quality museum display has landed atop SouthEastern Iowa, all situated on a private and pristine park arena. Nestled between the cornfields and soy farms of rural Batavia, IA, Bayo Park is pleased to announce its 2013 Fall Opening entitled Reflection of Transformation. Transformation of Reflection, a Transformer Reflects, Reflector Transforms - RT x TR +/- (T x R) log10 RT = RR^4 on October 26th, 2013 from 6-9pm. Rural Iowa might not be the first place two contemporary artists who have traveled, performed and exhibited their work in some of the nations most-acclaimed and distinctive galleries, museums, and theaters would think to situate their vision of an artful masterpiece. But for internationally-renown artist couple Olabayo and Reena Olaniyi, who own and operate Bayo Park, the creative freedom they found in their untenanted grounds was all they sought. They moved to Jefferson County in 2007 from Iowa City where they ran the highly publicized and artistically innovative Bayo Gallery. The Olaniyis have spent the last six years clearing their wooded 10 acre grounds, installing original organic sculptural structures woven from on-site materials, and designing a variety of unconventional galleries and performance sites throughout their settings. Bayo Park is truly an aesthetic marvel that fuses old, new, sacred and physical realities and mediums with each finely-crafted display burrowed between sweepingly sculpted grand trees. The park features a feast for the eyes and minds of the art, music, performance, and culture connoisseur as an ever-changing exhibition and versatile performance space. On October 26th, Bayo Park will feature a spectacular sprawling large-scale outdoor gallery installation/exhibition and a special musical/water/light performance starting at 7:30pm with one of Fairfields finest guitarist/vocalist Rebecca Haven. An Iowa Native, Havens serene sound will be staged atop water in a magical, mystical and transformative visual wonder of multi-media juxtaposed with the parks sculptural and natural tranquility. Bayo Park is located at 1610 230th St in Batavia, IA. Please call 641.693.4142 or email bayoarts@aol for more information.
