Currently they hold services in the Regal Cinema inside Southpark Mall in Colonial Heights. They will launch their new campus at the former Crossings. This new campus will allow for a Saturday night service to accommodate the growing community need for a flexible worship schedule. “We are looking to make a positive impact on our community,” said Bryan Briggs, lead pastor at Destination. “This expansion will allow us to reach and serve more people.” The church has been working on the renovations to the theater for several months, and has changed the look of the place. The first phase included revamping the walls, the bathrooms, the projection booth, as well as other cosmetic adjustments. Additional renovations are planned. Destination is planning to open the former cinema as an operational movie theater in the spring of 2014. The goal is to use the space as not only as a community meeting place, but a family-friendly entertainment venue. “We’d like to invite anyone in the community that is looking for a different way to do church,” said Nate Clarke, campus pastor over the Crossings location. “We offer free refreshments before service, and a come-as-you-are atmosphere.” The service times for the Crossings Campus, located at 5246 Oaklawn Blvd. in Prince George near Hopewell, will be Saturdays at 5 pm and Sundays at 10 am. The service times for the Regal Cinema Campus, located at 300 Southpark Circle in Colonial Heights, are Sundays at 8:45 and 11 am.
