FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda Contact: Angela Christensen fbla-pbl.org P: 801-626-6059 E: [email protected] Weber State University Recognized with Top Honors at PBL National Leadership Conference in Nashville Nashville, Tennessee, June 27. 2014—More than 1,800 of America’s best and brightest college students traveled to the historic city of Nashville to make some history of their own as they showcased their talents as future business leaders and vied for the opportunity to win over $79,000 in cash awards. Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), the largest and oldest student business organization, held its National Leadership Conference in Nashville on June 24–27. Participants from across the United States and two countries were in attendance for this exciting conference to sharpen their core business skills, expand their networks, and participate in more than 55 business and business-related competitive events. Congratulations Jennifer Lee from Weber State placed 5th and Lynda Seneff from Weber State took 1st place in Future Business Educator!!! Congratulations Karleigh Austill, Alex Cragun, Stephanie Faldowski, Meagan Johnson, and Aena Lee from Weber State! took 4th place in Parliamentary Procedure! #nlc2014 Congratulations Calee Christensen from Weber State! Calee placed 6th in Networking Concepts! #nlc2014 Congratulations John Holfeltz & James Price from Dixie and Patrick Beck & Calee Christensen from Weber State! 10th and 2nd place in Network Design! #nlc2014 Congratulations Daniel Zacharias from UVU and Patrick Beck from WSU! 7th and 2nd place in Cyber Security! #nlc2014 Congratulations to all of our competitors who traveled to Nashville. Everyone made it to the finals! You were AWESOME! Weber State Phi Beta Lambda brought home 11 trophies from Nationals. For many students, the competitive events are the capstone activity of their academic careers. In addition to the competitions, students immersed themselves in educational workshops, visited an information-packed exhibit hall, and attended motivational keynotes on a broad range of business topics.
