Newark, NJ - They are calling on 10,000 strong for peace and justice! The Newark Anti-Violence Coalition (NAVC) will host another massive protest for Trayvon Martin and rally against black on black violence in the middle of the intersection of Brookdale Ave and Sunset St in Newark, NJ on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 6:00pm. Wednesday’s demonstration will support the Trayvon Martin protests in the city of Newark, NJ, and in the United States, and around the world; but the NAVC will also continue it’s call to the African American community to help end the pandemic disease of black on black violence in urban neighborhoods. Brookdale Avenue and Sunset Street was the neighborhood of Hanif Zeigler, a young African American man who was killed two weeks ago around the New Jersey Performing Arts’ Sounds of the City outdoor concert. Trayvon Martin was the teenager killed by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida last year. The acquittal of Zimmerman has sparked outrage all around the United States of America and the world.
