The Mixture and cohabitation of cultural forms that remain together and in participation, generating a result ,is called syncretism. This real but abstract characteristic distinguishes the most representative works of latin american contemporary art.The ethnology has limited the principal characteristics of syncretism, the study of community behavior, races and principalities regarding the survival of pagan rituals mixed with religious beliefs but not with regards to art. Here lies the importance of the study that pertains to the special relationship of syncretism within the works of contemporary art.
