FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 12, 2013 PERMALINK Leader Cantor Applauds House Passage Of No Subsidies Without Verification Act WASHINGTON, D.C. â House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) released the following statement after House passage of H.R. 2775, the No Subsidies Without Verification Act: âObamaCare continues to prove unworkable. The Administration has already missed half of its implementation deadlines and waived or delayed core provisions. Now the White House wants to use the honor system to confirm insurance subsidies for individuals. Not verifying eligibility could mean billions of dollars in fraudulent and wasteful payments. Today, the House voted to hold the government accountable to taxpayers by stopping subsidies from being awarded until a viable verification system is operating. I thank Representative Diane Black for exposing this potential abuse and protecting taxpayer dollars. ObamaCare is not ready for prime time, and never will be.
