CHARLES COUNTY, MO - A portion of Plackemeier Drive will be closed by the St. Charles County Highway Department beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, and continuing through Friday, September 26, 2014, to allow for installation of a culvert pipe to improve drainage. The entire road will be re-opened Friday, September 26, 2014, by 3:30 p.m. The construction area for the pipe crossing is located approximately 0.46 miles south and west of Woodlawn Avenue. No through traffic will be allowed through the area of the pipe replacement. Motorists may use Veterans Memorial Parkway to Parkview Drive to Chip Drive to West Park Drive to Plackemeier Drive to get around the closure area. Signs notifying motorists of the closure and detour route will be posted. This construction is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the countys road system for the safety of the community.
