FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO SPONSOR SOME ONE ON TEMPORARY SPONSORSHIP OBLIGATIONS OF A SPONSOR Any approved sponsor will have to meet certain sponsorship obligations. Some obligations apply beyond the term of sponsorship approval. The obligations will depend on the type of sponsor you are. General Obligations 1.Cooperate with inspectors 2. To ensure that the equivalent terms and conditions of employment are met and records are maintained 3.To provide information to DIBP when certain events occur 4.To ensure that the primary sponsored person works or participates in the nominated occupation, program or activity 5. To pay travel costs to enable sponsored persons to leave Australia 6. To pay costs incurred by the Commonwealth to locate and remove unlawful non-citizens. Note; You are responsible for meeting all of your sponsorship obligations, even if you have authorised someone else to act on your behalf, including a migration agent. The DIBP will monitor the compliance and whether the visa holders are upholding their visa conditions. Note; You will be monitored while you are a sponsor and for up to five years after you cease being a sponsor. There are a number of sanction actions DIBP could take against you if you do not comply with your obligations.
