FOR SALE/TRADE: 8yr old, colored-up, 14.5 registered MFT/?TWH. This horse is gentle, friendly and was ridden 6 days a week this summer by a 17yr old schoolgirl. This young woman tried to make him into a barrel horse, and obviously he just was not suited for that. But he was very willing despite the fact that he was not quick enough nor fast enough . In 40 years of field trialing this gelding is the smoothest and sweetest we’ve owned. Full disclosure: REQUIRES AN EXPERIENCED RIDER! Within 24hrs of when we brought this horse home, he bonded with my good field trial horse, became “buddy sour” and I am no longer able to work this problem out. Without going into a long boring story, my deteriorating health makes it difficult to manage a horse of this quality. If you are seriously interested I can give you more detail on the situation. But with that said, I can assure you this was my dream horse. We are open to a trade, hopefully for a “teen-ager” that is more of a pleasure horse, if such a thing exists.
