FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE - NEW VIDEO! THE AALIYAH TRIBUTE (Rehearsal Footage) A dance piece directed by Daryl D.Mo Morante paying homage to the late Aaliyah Dana Haughton (1979 - 2001). On October 12, 2011 was the last day of rehearsals before we perform The Aaliyah Tribute at the Choreographers Ball called Carnival. I faced many challenges putting this piece together most specifically trying to get all 16 in-demand dancers under the same roof and choosing which of Aaliyahs song to dance to. In the end all the pieces were carefully put together and came up with a concoction of my own original choreography and Aaliyahs music video choreography. Credit goes out to Aaliyahs choreographers namely mostly Fatima Robinson for creating such innovative and fresh choreography for her.
