FOREVER HOME UPDATE .... from rescue Quinby. Dear Wright-Way Brothers and Sisters, It’s been a little more than a month since I was adopted out of Wright-Way, and I just wanted to let you all know that you should hang in there — finding your forever home is worth the wait! I left you known as Quinby, but my name is now Royko. I’m supposedly named after a famous Chicago writer, which is appropriate because I’m always finding creative ways to entertain my new family. As you can see from my pictures, my forever family is taking great care of me and I have grown leaps and bounds. Although I have my own bed, I often find my way under the big people’s covers, and they don’t seem to mind a bit. I have a big yard to play in, and I’ve met plenty of friendly canines while walking around the big neighborhood. I’m even living near a big park, so once the warm weather comes around I’ll have plenty of room to chase tennis balls. The best parts about my forever home are the little humans that give me so much love and attention. They give me toys, scratch my ears, rub my belly and are always ready with treats when I do something good. Speaking of which, did you know that humans don’t let you relieve yourself anywhere you want? I’m learning all the rules about this and am told I’m doing much better. In fact, I think I’m doing better than the little humans. I keep hearing the biggest one say over and over: “One rule: Calm kids, calm dog,” but I guess dogs hear much better than people. Stay strong, my friends. Wright-Way is doing all it can to find you the best homes possible, and there is nothing better than trading puppy energy for puppy love. Best, Royko
