FORGET ABOUT IT: John Cale sang that fear is a mans best friend and it seems to me that by labelling followers of a faith as evil, to be hated and to blame them for the atrocities committed by a minority of delusional, misguided extremists who claim to be of that faith, is dangerous and perhaps the one thing that will destroy our supposedly civilised society. Propaganda and fear- mongering have been used as tools to manipulate minds and the culture of fear, the serial wars on terror divide our world and delay mankinds progress towards a harmonious existence where our differences are celebrated and our similarities are acknowledged. Shouldnt we forget our hunger for conflict and refrain from feeding on fear and instead embrace our fellow man with empathy and compassion?
