FORGET ME NOT AKINDOJUTIMI AKINTOLA ABIODUN ACE students union president 2011/2012 session Forget me not: This word are often inscribe on walls at various schools not only in primary or secondary schools are they found, its also an habit common at various higher institutions, go to their hostels, check their kitchens, what about their laundry, some even inscribe such words on the walls of their laboratory and their various lecture rooms and halls are not left out, all in the name of creating an awareness after their exit from such institution or environment. Dont ever call it a barbaric act, because it simply happens in every part of the world even among the elite, take a visit to the HOUSE OF COMMON in the United states where their senators meet to discuss national issue, check underneath each desk/ table, you will see the this word forget me not written in various style and forms inscribe on the desk by various senators that once occupies the sit with there names boldly attached. (Read Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama). But how necessary? I have walk almost all (if not all) the four walls of Adeyemi College of Education. I have been to all the lecture halls in Adeyemi (even the newly built during this strike), I check and search the offices at the students union building, but their was never a place where I saw any inscribtion of any style relating to forget me not Abiodun that can be of prove that it was written by this comrade before is demise, hmmmmm but have we forgotten him? NO I say! Who can even forget you? Is it the most performed provost A.C.E ever had, in person of Prof. Adeyemi Ibunkunoluwa Idowu, or that vibrant Comrade known as K.CINO, we the executives that serve under you, Builders club, Fedration of Ondo Ekimogun Student Union, National association of Ondo State Student, NANS, JCC south west zone, Chemistry Dept. School/Faculty of Science or the whole college. Nobody I say! Yet you never willingly wrote on the wall forget me not Now I realise it is in the impact, not in the writing on walls, stones or marbles. You are indeed a Comrade, and the memory remain fresh, I feel Nostalgia each time I remember how you serve with your heart, you hate corruption, extortion, oppression. It was indeed a struggle for LIBERATION till Death stole you away and I still wonder why? Any coward can fight a battle when he is sure of winning; but give me that man that has the pluck to fight when he is sure of losing... Your death has created a huge void in the camp of those of us working to enthrone a solid democratic culture, where political power is deployed to serve the generality of the citizen. Its two(2) years today that death beckons on you. But you are never forgotten. Indeed a life isnt significant except for its impact on other lives. Here comes AKINTOLA, when comes another. R.I.P ABIODUN. By: OLABODE BOLAJI D.O.Finance S.U.G 2011/2012 session @Edibond2.....#iwamubode
