FORGIVENESS IS NECESSARY: Praise the Lord family of God. Do you have a relative, sibling, or parent with whom you just DO NOT and CAN NOT get along? With some, the wrong-doer has repented and their lives have been changed by the Grace of God; but you with-hold your forgiveness, allowing a root of bitterness to form within you. My heart breaks for the many people in this situation. I know Im speaking to many people; and, I know I am to encourage you to FORGIVE, repent and be loosed from that root of bitterness thats been a stumbling block in your own life. While studying in Amos chapters 1 through 3, I saw that God became fed up with the sins of the many people in the land; and He called them out regarding their behavior. He sent the prophet Amos to warn the people that His patience was worn out and released a word of punishment for each nation. Lets look at Edom, why was Edom being punished? Amos said, Edom had pursued his brother - with violence and without compassion or pity. Question: who is Edoms brother? . Israel is the brother. This grudge was so deep and so wicked that Edom relished at every opportunity to brandish the sword (so to speak). Their brothers names were Esau and Jacob and their parents were, Isaac and Rebecca. Edom continued to show spite and God was now fed up because Edoms, anger tore perpetually. he kept his wrath forever (held onto the grudge and would not forgive). Please note, the root of bitterness is within YOU and it is affecting your life, your health, your progress and the fulfillment of your God ordained destiny. Truly, it is time to let go and let God do a work in your life. Invite Him in, ask for His forgiveness and ask Him to help you FORGIVE.
