FORT COLLINS Fracking Moratorium Makes the November Ballot FRACK FREE COLORADO: Thanks to an incredible team effort, led by Citizens for a Healthy Fort Collins, over 8,000 signatures were submitted to the Fort Collins City Clerk - more than twice the number of signatures required! Today the City Council certified the signatures, officially making Fort Collins the 5th community to add a fracking moratorium or a ban to the November ballot. Thank you to all of the hard working volunteers that came together to achieve this victory. Now we begin our next challenge of educating our fellow Coloradans about the dangers of fracking. The gas industry could spend millions on local ballot initiatives, so we need to mobilize people power to make sure everyone understands the true risks and harms.
